Parking is at the Village Green in the Rotorua CBD, just 700 metres from the finish line location. Participants must not park their cars at the start line venue for the duration of their race. See below.
Spectator Parking
Your support crew can drop you off at the start line. Participants can not leave their cars at the start line venue - on street parking is available on and around Froude Street.

Drop bags
A drop bag service allows you to pack items you might need at the start line, but not for your run, and collect them at the finish line. This might be a warm jacket, water or food for when you finish, or your wallet or purse.
- Use the event bag issued to you at participant check in.
- We will provide a sticky label for the bag so we know it's yours
- You bag will be transported from the start line to the finish.
- Please collect at the finish 3:00pm, any remaining gear bags will be donated to charity.
Start waves
To ensure a safe and fair event for participants we have self seeded start waves. Be realistic and carefully choose your start waves. Timing and results is based on a Mat to Mat time.
- Wave 1 8:45am - expect finished time under 55mins
- Wave 2 8:50am - expect finished time, 55 -65mins
- Wave 3 8:55am - expect finished time, 65 -85mins
- Wave 4 9:00am - expect finished time, 85mins plus
- Wave 5 9:05am - All walkers
Aid stations
There will be aid stations on the course to support the participants. The aid stations will have electrolytes, water and toilets.

Course cut offs
The course check points listed below are in the interest of participant safety. It is unlikely that this will affect your race however if you fall behind the timing checkpoints you will be removed from the event and classed as a non finisher.
- CP1 - 6.2km 11:34am
- CP2 - Finishline 1:26pm
Prizes & Prize giving
There is no prize giving ceremony at this event - it's simply too cold at this time of year. Prizes are available for the top three male and female participants in each age group. Participants who are eligible for the placing prizes must collect it from the information tent located at the finish line between 10am and 3pm. Prize will not be posted out.
